St. Pacificus

Watercolour on paper; frame composed of quilled paper, silk, twisted brass wire, glass stones and beads, gilt.
Saint Pacificus painted in gouache on an oval medallion is framed by a baldachin held up by six flat capitalled columns on a graduated pedestal. Executed in tiny spirals and drapery made of quilled strips of pink paper that have been gilt along the edges; strips made of twisted brass wire and coloured silk applied with coloured cut glass stones and glass beads. Relic with a band inscribed with Sv. Pacificus under fine latticework; Sv. Fulgentis inscribed in the upper left corner; band missing from the upper right corner.
Newly housed in a glass-fronted, mirror-backed cardboard case.
